Chris in action

"Thank you so much for all the fun. It's so rare to find teachers who can really make you want to learn, but also do it with playfulness."

What happens at a singing workshop?

A one-day singing workshop is typically six hours long with an hour's break for lunch. Half day workshops are usually 2½ hours long. There will be tea/coffee breaks and usually a shared lunch for a full day's workshop.

Workshops always begin with some physical and vocal exercises to prepare for singing. We start with a mix of gentle shaking and stretching of both voice and body to prepare us for singing. There will also be some vocal development. This will help you to sing without effort and will help to extend your singing abilities.

We'll then begin with a simple round or chant. Next, we'll move onto songs which have three or more separate harmony parts. At the end of a workshop, we'll go over all the songs we've learnt. Chris then records the group singing them so you can hear how good you sound!
