Chris Rowbury is a patient, charismatic teacher with 30 years' experience. He has a relaxed style laced with plenty of humour. He will get you singing in wonderful harmony in a matter of minutes!
"Thank you sooo much for great singing workshop, my first with you. You were very patient and humorous. I look forward to some other Chris Rowbury influence and by the way, I still have the songs floating round my head."
Chris runs singing workshops across the UK open to anyone who loves to sing. He teaches songs in harmony from a wide range of singing traditions. Everything is voice only without instruments or backing tracks. You need no singing experience as Chris teaches all songs by ear (he sings and you repeat).
You'll be amazed at the beautiful sound that a group can make regardless of singing background. Whether you've only ever sung in the shower, or you're already in a choir. And all in a fun, friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
"What a fantastic day it was on Saturday. I can't believe we made such beautiful music together. Thanks to you and all your great preparation, skill and hard work – what a joy!"
Chris believes that everyone can sing (yes, even you!). He is a member of the Natural Voice Network and shares their belief that:
"Singing is everyone's birthright. We use teaching styles that are accepting and inclusive of all, regardless of musical experience and ability."
So there are no auditions, no sheet music, no unnecessary musical jargon, no solos. Everyone is welcome whether you think you can 'sing' or not.
"You did such a good job with us all, and at the same time making everything fun. You definitely have a gift of getting the best out of people and making them feel good about themselves."

You can watch this fantastic video which explains clearly and simply what a Natural Voice choir is. Thanks to my colleagues Caroline Bithell, Beth De Lange, Gitika Partington, Alice Robin, Janet Stansfeld and Rowena Whitehead.
Chris has written a weekly blog, From the Front of the Choir, about choirs and singing since December 2006. He writes from a Natural Voice and community choir perspective. There are articles about how to start your own choir, making the best of your singing voice, music copyright, singing warm ups, how to sing harmony, and much much more.
Posts come out every Monday morning. You can sign up on the blog to get posts delivered automatically to your email inbox, or just drop by and browse the archive. You can find the blog here: blog.chrisrowbury.com
Over on Chris's Facebook page you can find a steady stream of interesting snippets
from around the web about all things musical, choral and singy. Since not everyone is on Facebook, and it's easy to miss stuff, Chris started to
compile interesting titbits into a monthly roundup back in July 2015.
Issues are published on the first of each month. You can sign up for your own copy to be emailed to you and browse past issues on the Tinyletter website: tinyletter.com/chrisrowbury. Each issue contains 10 items including a song of the month, so not too much to read!
