"I love the African songs as they free you up to not think about the words. The harmonies and rhythms are wonderful. I like the way you teach us – very inclusive and friendly and we manage to achieve lots!" Participant on a previous African singing day

Winchester SO21 2JW
Cost: £25 (full price); £20 (low income)

This singing day is an opportunity to sing and move to infectious African rhythms in a safe and friendly environment. As the old proverb from Zimbabwe says: "If you can walk then you can dance; if you can talk then you can sing"
Chris teaches everything by ear (no need to read music). No previous experience needed – just bring yourself and have a go. Whether you've only ever sung in the shower, or you're already in a choir, there will be something here for everyone.
This will be Chris's seventh visit to Hursley. Each year has sold out, so make sure to book your place in plenty of time!
Comments from previous visits:
"Great selection of songs. Good to be challenged with not singing all standing in the same part, also with doing rhythm only sections. Great fun – will come again!"
"Thanks so much for the workshop. It's the best one-day workshop I've been to. Perfect song choice, not only with the variety of styles, but with the difficulty levels ranging from easy to hard."
"This was a lovely workshop, a new way to learn to sing in harmony with others, also a lesson in communication and listening to others."
