"I enjoyed every minute of our rehearsals and the performance and wouldn't have missed it for anything. It is hard to explain to people how one person can get an eclectic mix of people singing beautiful music in next to no time!"

For each of the last seven years, choirmaster Chris Rowbury has created a choir from scratch in Ipswich in just six weeks. For the first time ever, this Singing Safari comes to Woodbridge!

the ok chorale, 2017

Chris has taken a record number of 55 local singers on a virtual Singing Safari to gather songs from all around the world. The group, which includes singers from The OK Chorale, have polished these songs and are now ready for a performance. Their journey ends on Saturday 24th March where they will perform the songs they've learnt at St. Mary's Church, Woodbridge.

Special guests Scunsulata from Norfolk will be sharing the concert. The two vocal ensembles will present a concert of exquisite and enchanting harmony singing to revive the spirits. This promises to be an evening of singing to stir the soul and warm the heart.

Tickets are £6 (£3 under 16s). There will be a retiring collection for WaterAid, a charity which provides clean water, decent toilets and hygiene knowledge to people who don't yet have access to them.

You can buy tickets here and pay with a credit/debit card (you don't need a PayPal account – select "Check out as guest" when it comes to pay). Print off your receipt and bring it to the concert with you. If you prefer to pay by bank transfer or cheque then contact Chris for details. Some tickets will be available on the door.

"Well what a resounding success! The guy sitting next to me didn't believe it was a scratch choir." Audience member, March 2017

"Amazing stuff ... magically turning a bunch of strangers into a group of singers who sound beautiful in such a short time." Singing Safari participant.
